Author of several English textbooks, Mrs. Angeles serves as Vibal Publishing's consulting editor for English. She earned her master's degree in language teaching from the Philippine Normal University. A former principal at Claret School of Quezon City, Mrs. Angeles is currently a PAASCU Accrediting Officer.



Presently, Dr. Borja is the Principal of the Sta. Maria Agro-Industrial High School in Bulacan. He is involved in DepEd’s Evaluation/Assessment of Student Learning, Guidance and Counseling, Curriculum and Development for science subjects. He has written curriculum, instructional and training materials for the DepEd-BSE and EDPITAF.

A Ph.D. graduate major in Management, Dr. Borja also holds an M.A. in Education major in Administration and Supervision and M.A. in Teaching with specialization in Science Education.



Ms. Bolaños is the supervising teacher of Religious Education at the UST College of Education and a faculty member of the UST Institute of Religion teaching Theology and Religious Education Subjects. She also serves as a Values Education Specialist and consultant for the Department of Education. She took up Master of Arts in Theology major in Social Pastoral Communications with area of concentration in Biblical Communication at the University of Santo Tomas. Ms. Bolaños is co-author of Vibal Publishing “We Celebrate God’s Love” CLE textbooks.



Ms. Budhrani is a professor of Computer Education at Enderun College located at McKinley Hills, Taguig City. Prior to that she was an assistant professor at the De La Salle University–Manila where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and her master’s degree in Computer Applications major in Instructional Systems Technology.

She does consultancy work for the Philippine Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), as well as for STI College.

Ms. Budhrani is a co-author of Vibal Publishing’s Cybersmart textbook series.



Mrs. Ninia I. Calaca is the E-Learning Consultant of Vibal Publishing House, Inc. She is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Santo Tomas. She had previously served as director of UST's Educational Technology Center.

She is a writer of the DepEd lesson plans in Math, modules for Bridge Lesson and Project EASE (Easy Affordable Secondary Education) and Mathematics lessons in Elementary Math in CD’s for DOST. She is also a Regional Trainer of MTAP seminar workshop– Instructional Development for Mathematics teachers.



Mrs Caldez is the Head Teacher VI in Mathematics of Elpidio Quirino High school Manila. She is a National Trainer of Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) and Secondary Education Development Program (SEDP); also a resource speaker on the Finalization of Learning Competencies in Math.

Prof. Cano earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology at the University of the Philippines in Diliman; got a certificate in Earth Science from Kobe University in Japan and took his masters in Scientific Communication from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He is currently the Philippine representative and a founding member of the International Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO).

He worked as a teacher-trainer in the Earth and Environmental Sciences for six years at the National Institute for Science and Mathematics Development (NISMED) in UP Diliman. He currently teaches at the College of Science in Bicol University, and one of the authors of Vibal Publishing House Inc.'s science textbooks and magazines for elementary and high school students.



Mr. Castillo was a Social Studies and Mathematics (Algebra) Teacher at St. Theresa’s College (High School Department) in Quezon City. He is now an author and editor in Social Studies at Vibal Publishing House, Inc. He is also the editor of Student’s Digest, a Social Studies magazine and V2day, a Values Education journal.

He is currently enrolled in M.A. Education (Social Studies) at the University of the Philippines Open University.



Mr. Dakila Jr. finished his MA in Basic Education from the Ateneo de Manila University and MA in English Language Teaching from the Philippine Normal University. He took up an international course on Understanding by Design under Grant Wiggins and Jay Mctighe. He is a University Lecturer at the University of Asia and the Pacific and Curriculum Development & Evaluation Officer at PAREF Southridge School, Alabang Muntinlupa City.



Mr. Dayrit is currently the Principal of La Salle Green Hills Adult Night High School. He was the Academic Coordinator of the same school for three years before assuming the post of the Principal. He graduated with honors from San Carlos Seminary with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He acquired his Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching, with specialization on learner-centered education, from De La Salle University-Manila and graduated with distinction.



Dr. Espiritu is an associate professor and former dean of the College of Computer Studies of the De La Salle University (DLSU) where he is now the head of its Learning Innovations Center. He is a consultant of the Commission on ICT for Digital Content Elements and also with the Bureau of Alternative Learning Systems of the Department of Education for its E-Skwela, Accreditation and Equivalency projects.

The educational technology consultant of Vibal Publishing, Dr. Espiritu is also a member of the board for the Vibal Foundation. He is currently finishing Cybersmart: Digital Literacy grade school textbook series as lead author.

Dr. Espiritu obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Ghent in Belgium.



Ms. Gagatiga is a teacher, licensed librarian, writer, storyteller and literacy advocate. She graduated from the Philippine Normal University with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Library Science. She has completed the necessary academic requirements for the Master in Library and Information Science program at the UP Diliman combined with Reading Cognates. She worked in Xavier School, Greenhills San Juan for fourteen years (1995-2009) where she served as school librarian and coordinator of the Grade School Learning Resource Center. She is currently an active PAASCU accreditor for the area of Instructional Media Center; President of the Philippine Board on Books for Young People and consultant-librarian (part time) for the Vibal Foundation's library and rare books collection.

She has extensive experience in teaching as Reading Clinician and facilitator of workshops and trainings on Reading, Literacy Development, Technology Integration and Storytelling. She is now working on a US-based book project on Filipino Folk Tales along side international storyteller, Dianne de Las Casas.



Mrs. Galang has been an educator for 27 years and is in her second term as the high school principal of La Salle Greenhills. She was formerly a subject coordinator and assistant principal of the school and now the chair of the Lasallian Master Teacher’s Association.

Mrs. Galang holds an M.A. in Teaching English and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Administration. She is a trainor in various professional development sessions and is involved with PAASCU as one of its accreditors.

In 2008, she attended the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) a three-day conference in Los Angeles dubbed “Professional Practices at Work.” One of the most sought-after sessions in this conference was the Understanding By Design (UbD) which spurred her interest and started her affair with UbD.




Ms. Garcia finished her Master of Arts in Teaching major in Pagtuturo ng Filipino at the Philippine Normal University and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino at the Holy Angel University Angeles City–where she is also now a part-time faculty member. She is presently a Master Teacher 1 at Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School—where she has served as a Filipino teacher for more than 10 years.



Ms. Jose earned her MA in Asian Studies at the UP Diliman in Quezon City and is currently the Assistant Professor 3 in UP Manila handling subjects pertaining to History.

She serves as the over-all coordinator for the National Service Training Program (NSTP) at UP Manila and advises GABRIELA UP and Tanghalang Batingaw. A coauthor of Vibal Social Studies textbooks, Ms. Jose also writes articles for academic journals.



Dr. Lalunio is a professor at PNU College of Education, Graduate School and had been the Dean of College of Language, Linguistics and Literature of the same university. She is an author and in-house editor at Vibal Publishing and has been a consultant of Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino, DepEd and CHED.

Dr. Lalunio holds a Ph. D. in Linguistics, MA in Education with specialization in Language Teaching, and MAT in Filipino. She earned her BS in Elementary Education (Magna Cum Laude) from the Philippine Normal University. She received various scholarships and trainings abroad including post-doctoral courses in Linguistics and Reading at Georgetown University in Washington DC.



Ms. Liwanag obtained her Master of Arts degree in Filipino at Manuel L. Quezon University and Bachelor of Science in Education at Philippine Normal University. She became module writer for the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (NCR) and awarded the Outstanding Filipino Teacher in the Secondary Level, 2001 by the divisions of City Schools in Manila. She is currently Assistant Professor IV in Philippine Normal University, Center for Teaching and Learning, College of Education and a Part-time Faculty in the College of Languages, Linguistics and Literature, PNU.



Mr. Malicsi is a graduate from the University of Santo Tomas where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. Presently with the UST High School, he is finishing his thesis for his Master of Arts in English Language Studies. He has held several administrative posts in UST since his first appointment, at age 24, as Assistant to the Director for Alumni Affairs and Career Placement in 2005, before becoming head the University’s Office for Alumni Relations as its Director. He is a textbook author at Vibal Publishing House.



Mrs. Marasigan took up her M.A. in Child Study and Pre-school specialization at the Philippine Normal University. She has been the Director of the National Association on Early Childhood Education where she served as President for two terms. She is also a consultant of the Educational Research Development Foundation. She has authored and co-authored several preschool series published by Vibal Publishing House, Inc.



Dr. Mingoa finished her Ph.D. in Special Education and M.A. in Education (Biology) at the College of Education, University of the Philippines Diliman. She also earned her undergraduate degree in B.S. Biology, at the College of Arts and Sciences of the same university. Her thesis: Beginning Science Concepts of Filipino Children was awarded Most Outstanding. She is the directress of TVRM Little Saints School for Multiple Intelligence, Writer for Science Textbook Series published by Vibal Publishing, Inc, and University Professor for Special Education, De la Salle University-Manila, Educational Leadership and Management Department.



Mr. Ong is the secretary and a member of the board of governors of the Philippine Historical Association. He graduated Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Major in Area Studies) from University of the Philippines-Manila. He finished his Master of Arts in History from UP Diliman. He is an Assistant Professor and currently Head and Coordinator of the Area Studies Program of the Department of Social Studies, U.P. Manila. He received two Gawad Chanselor citations from University of the Philippines Manila in 2008, namely “Pinakamahusay na Guro” and “Pinakamahusay na Mananaliksik”.



Ms. Padua finished her Bachelor of Science in Education major in Math minor in Physics and Masters in Education major in Physics at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She earned Ph.D. units in Math from UP Diliman Open University. She is the principal of St. Mary’s College Quezon City, Secretary and Treasurer of the Association of Science Teachers and Educators of the Philippines. She is also and author of Elementary Science Books, Physics and Math books and an editor/writer of Science and Technology magazines.



Ms. Peña is a retired faculty of the Philippine Normal University. She is the former head of the English Department, former Chairman for the Faculty of advancement evaluation of the PNU.

With an MA in English Language Teaching and academic units in Ph.D. Applied Linguistics, Ms. Peña is a part-time graduate faculty at PNU handling such course as Introduction to Linguistics, Structure of English and Language Testing. She was an elementary school principal, district supervisor, curriculum developer for DepEd, textbook, writer for EDPITAF Textbook Development Project. She is a Vibal author and an in-house editor for English.



Ms. De Peralta is an in-house editor and an e-learning specialist for English at Vibal Publishing House, Inc. She has been an English Teacher at Ateneo De Manila High School for eight years and Year Level Coordinator for three years.. She is currently taking up her Masters in Education, major in Language Teaching at the University of the Philippines-Diliman where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in English minor in Math (cum laude).



A former dean and professor of the UP College of Education, Dr. Rabago has four decades of teaching and book writing and editing experiences. She is the science education consultant of Vibal Publishing and has been the lead author and editor of more than 40 publications: textbooks from primary to tertiary levels, as well as source books on the use of real life situations (RLS) in teaching science, environmental education and values communication.

Dr. Rabago is currently a lecturer at the UP College of Education and an affiliate faculty of the UP Open University. With her membership to professional organizations here and abroad, she has also been involved in various research projects on environmental education. Dr. Rabago holds a Ph. D. in Environmental Science from the UP College of Science.



Dr. Romero is an associate professor from the College of Education at the University of Sto. Tomas. She obtained her doctorate degree major in Religion and Values Education at De LaSalle University. She is currently the President of the Catholic Teacher’s Guild of the Philippines, UST Chapter and lead author of Vibal Christian Living textbook series.



Ms. Razon is a faculty from University of the Philippines K-2 Department. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Teaching in the Early Grades) from the UP College of Education in Diliman with honors. She is currently finishing her Masters in Education major in Reading Education at the same university.

Ms. Razon had been a lecturer at Reading Department, UP College of Education and in various seminar-workshops held all over the Philippines.



Mr. Rentoy is a professor from the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) in Pasig City. He is a graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) where he earned a double-degree in AB Journalism and AB Literature, and an MA in Creative Writing. He is one of the few teachers with the distinct privilege of having been able to teach students from Grade 4 to fourth year in college. In his more than 20 years of teaching experience, he has taught subjects like English, Literature, Filipino, Religion and Creative Writing.

Mr. Rentoy was the Founding Executive Director of PAREF Westbridge School in Iloilo City. He was in the first batch of graduates of PAREF Southridge School, where he also taught for 15 years, occupying various posts including Principal of Intermediate School, Vice-Principal of High School, Department Head of Religion and Head of the Institutional Information Office. He has attended training seminars on UbD given by Jay McTighe in Bangkok, Thailand in 2005 and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2007.



Dr. Ramirez is an artist, a writer and a professor at the University of Asia and the Pacific. She has published books on integrating values into the grade school and high school curricula, English textbooks for grade school and high school and Art Appreciation for college. She conducted the first benchmarking study in the Philippines on Maritime and Nursing education. Dr. Ramirez is also an accreditor of PACUCOA (Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation).

She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of the Holy Spirit, and holds M.A. in Language and Literature from De La Salle University and MA Art History from the University of the Philippines where she also earned her PhD in Educational Administration.



Mrs. Torcuator has been the Department Head for Social Studies of Mariano Marcos National High School where she has been a high school teacher of Social Studies for 13 years. She is currently in line to be a principal in the division of city schools in Manila. She finished Bachelor of Secondary Education major in History and MA Teaching at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
