HOLIDAY INTERACTIVES FOR YOUR KIDS AND YOU

While school children generally view holidays and school breaks as opportunities to engage in recreation and do anything but schoolwork, these interactive activities can be fun for you and your kids to do, in the comforts of your home!

Philippine Flag

Independence Day is one of the most significant civic celebrations we have. It is again the time to reflect on the annual celebration of the anniversary of our independence. We have designed interactive games that aim to spark children's interest in learning about the event.

“The Flag's True Colors” is intended for children enrolled in lower grade school. It is a simple coloring activity that serves to test your child's knowledge of the correct colors of our national flag. The game itself will let your child learn about the values the colors of the flag stand for.

As an after-game activity, you are encouraged to join your child in reading about the history of the flag and coloring the flag the way it was when you were your child's age. These will help make your child better understand the history of our national flag.

“Your Independence Day Slogan Banner” is intended for children enrolled in Intermediate to High School. It involves designing a banner that carries a slogan about national independence and/or the Independence Day celebration. This activity will let your child learn about the declaration of Philippine independence as well as express his/her thoughts about Philippine independence. After the activity, you are encouraged to discuss the contents of the Declaration of Independence as well as the significance of celebrating Independence Day.

Go ahead, guide your child through the activity suited for him/her and together, observe the traditional ways of celebrating our independence!
