Vibal Publishing’s Educational Service Program (ESP) celebrates its 30th year with the Touch the Future of Learning Seminar Tour, a nationwide teacher training program for teachers and school administrators. The tour kicks off on November 12, 2011 at the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila, to be followed by stops in key cities across the country.
The seminar tour will feature a pool of authors, editors, and educational consultants from Vibal who will share their knowledge and expertise on a range of timely pedagogical concerns, including the K-12 Basic Education Program, the Understanding by Design framework and its effective implementation in teaching and learning, and the use of ICT tools in the classroom.
The seminar tour is complementary to Vibal's thrust of uplifting the standards of education in the country through professional training and continuing education both for educators and school administrators alike.
Over the years, the ESP has seen sustained growth in terms of reach and coverage. Founded by Mr. Gaspar A. Vibal in 1980 originally as an after-sales service to Vibal's client schools, ESP has evolved to become a full-scale teacher training program with year-round seminars and workshops. Since its founding, more than 100,000 principals, subject area coordinators, and teachers have taken part in ESP's series of seminars.
This year's tour is anchored on Vibal's latest learning initiative dubbed Touch the Future of Learning. The campaign aims to address the need for rich media content in the wake of the digital age through the production of quality educational products.
Additionally, it strives to promote a healthy synergy between traditional and digital formats, developing student-centered materials while keeping up with the changing attitudes of the modern Filipino youth.
Vibal is likewise set to define the standards for technology-aided education in the county as it introduces the pioneer line of enhanced digital textbooks for grade school and high school levels.
Designed to run on both Apple and Android devices, Vibal’s digital textbooks come with features meant to make learning more experiential and interactive for today’s set of young digital natives.
