About the Author:
Genaro Gojo Cruz is from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. He graduated BSE Social Science from the Philippine Normal University(PNU). He has won various awards for his works, including the Palanca Awards, Gawad Ka Amado, Gawad Collantes in Writing poems and Essays, Dionatext (Cellphone Text Poetry Writing Contest), Dalitext (Cellphone Text Poetry Writing Contest), Ninoy Poetry Writing Contest, PBBY-Writers Prize, and Makata of the year 2004. His poems and stories for children have been published in Junior Inquirer Magazine, Liwayway, Pambata Magazine, and various elementary textbooks.
Genaro Cruz is currently teaching in PNU and taking up his MA Major in Philippine Studies as a scholar at the De La Salle University-Manila. If he has free time, he reads stories and teaches street children in Binondo.
