Vibal Multimedia is the production arm of Vibal Publishing for audio-video and flash contents. Cognizant of the vital role of digital content in educational publishing, the company has invested in the required manpower and technology for multimedia production.

Recently, Vibal has produced a series of CD-ROMs that complement its civics and culture textbook series One Country, One People 1-6, 4th edition as well as for the reading textbook series Across Borders Through Reading 1-6, 2nd edition. Some of the interactive contents of the CD-ROMs are also published online and may be accessed at www.i-learn.vibalpublishing.com. Vibal Multimedia is developing other electronic curriculum content which will also be made available online.

Among Vibal Multimedia's significant projects is the Regions of the Philippines DVD learning package. A ten-volume interactive DVD set, this multimedia product is a stand-alone curriculum support material for social studies that features the people, culture, geography, history, products and industries of the 17 Philippine regions highlighting the provinces and cities and tourist attractions. With English and Filipino language options, the DVD set was the Philippine entry to the World’s Summit Award for e-learning category in 2005

Vibal Publishing has a commercial printing division that serves as one-stop shop for printing jobs like newsletters, personalized notebooks, annuals or trade books. It has a full complement of pre-press, press and post-press machines.

Prepress

Vibal Publishing uses the latest Macintosh computers with the appropriate desktop publishing software including Color Management System (CMS) to ensure color quality. As the prepress stage is crucial to printing output we collaborate with our clients through proofreading, editing, layout, scanning, and color separation.

Press/Production

Vibal Publishing has invested in the printing machines required for the company to take on major production challenges in both print quality and load capacity. With its latest Goss Magnum four-color press, Vibal Publishing has doubled daily book production output capacity. The new press performs at 35,000 cylinders per hour (CPH), and increasing the company’s printing output from 800,000 to 1.2 million signatures per day The Vibal printing plant also boasts of the Cromoman and Speedmaster printing machines that makes the company capable of producing printing orders way beyond its own requirements.

Post-press

Vibal binding and finishing facilities enable the company to fast track completion of printing jobs. It has just installed its own Kolbus Perfect Binding Line 2009 Model with automatic in-line finishing machine—the first ?of its kind to become operational in the Philippines. Kolbus Perfect Binding Line is the ideal compliment to the Goss SSC-Magnum Press.
